NYU Certificate in Relationship Based Community Building
The NYU Certificate in Relationship Based Community Building will provide participants with the skills, tools, and strategies to recruit, cultivate, and engage cohorts of constituents to transform local communities. This certificate program, brought to the Baltimore community by Na’aleh: The Hub for Leadership Learning, The Macks Jewish Connection Network, and Assembly, will prepare participants with all the tools they need to inspire their communities to be more Jewishly activated and involved. Through investment in training for these local leaders and through its pioneering Connector model, the Baltimore Jewish Community is prepared to dramatically grow and deepen communal life across the city.
Assembly faculty bring to bear a combined 60+ years experience in classical community organizing and in Jewish relational engagement work and strategies, which will be delivered in concert with outstanding Jewish learning. Participants will represent many different communities and agencies across Baltimore, and will be forged into a cadre of like-minded, similarly-focused professional peers. This group will collectively reach, engage, and mobilize a significantly broad constituency from across the city and the community’s broader encatchment to enrich and enhance Jewish life around the region.
