Sharing Your Jewish Story – An Ethical Will Workshop
This program is exclusively for ACHARAI Fellowship Alumni
Sharing Your Jewish Story – An Ethical Will Workshop: This interactive workshop will explore Judaism’s long history of ethical wills and then offer intentional, focused time and prompts in order for each participant to write a “forever letter” to a spouse, partner, child, or friend. Over three intense sessions, we will do deep and intentional work alone and together writing down the main events and ideas that have shaped our lives, the Jewish values we hold most dearly and why, and our advice on everything from charity to relationships. Participants will complete at least one forever letter upon the conclusion of the course that can serve as a model for legacy writing more generally. Our first class begins on the fifth night of Chanukah, giving us the opportunity to articulate our respective legacies as one of the best gifts we can give to those we love and the next generation.
Facilitator: Erica Brown, Director of the Mayberg Center for Jewish Education and Leadership, at The George Washington University.
Cost: $36. free for Leadership Passport holders.
