The Launch of EVOLVE: The Leadership Growth Deck

The idea that leadership is a practice inspired the creation of EVOLVE: The Leadership Growth Deck. Two years ago, a group of dedicated individuals set out to put leadership tools directly into the hands of Na’aleh participants and other leaders. Their vision: a deck of cards designed to help people actively engage in and reflect on their leadership on a regular basis. That vision became EVOLVE, which officially launched during the “Steal This Program” session at JPro25.

10 Powerful Ways to use EVOLVE: The Leadership Growth Deck

1. Commit to doing one activity with your team at staff meetings
2. Focus on one practice each month. Then start over.
3. Work with a partner on a practice or skill
4. Find an activity with an * and engage with the
   resource online.
5. Find an activity with an * that leads you to more in-
   depth Jewish learning.
6. Notice how a particular skill you’re practicing
   shows up in your day-to-day work.
7. Introduce the EVOLVE deck to your board and
   encourage their leadership learning.
8. Use the quotes as a basis for discussion at a staff
   or committee meeting.
9. Share the EVOLVE deck with your supervisor or
   supervisee and be accountable to each other.
10. Identify the practice your team needs to work on
    most and be accountable to each other.
