Personal Power and Branding
Tuesday, March 21, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Weinberg Park Heights JCC Community Room
Using non-contact boxing, participants will build confidence, understand the power of presence, learn to connect their stance to emotion, and link self-presentation to values. You can expect to hear about projection, protection, body language and self-conduct.
Facilitator Courtney Feldheim began boxing in 2009 and competes as an amateur boxer in and around the Baltimore area. Formerly a sixth grade teacher and high school sports coach, Courtney transitioned to full-time training in 2012 after finding boxing as a healthy outlet for stress. She won the New Jersey Masters Boxing championship in October 2022 and plans to continue competing on the Masters circuit. Courtney has an unparalleled passion for boxing and fitness and is a certified personal trainer, TRX trainer (strength and core), and fitness nutrition coach. She is the owner of Feldheim Functional Fitness, LLC and trains in-person and virtually across the US as well as in the U.K.
Delivering the Unforgettable: Event-Based Storytelling

We’ll take a dive into the event world, covering event trends and attendee behaviors, fads and flops to help you stay on the cutting edge and reach your audience in a positively memorable way. You can expect to hear about audience understanding, capturing and retaining attention and crafting resonant moments.
Facilitator Sandy has worked nationwide to coordinate and execute events of all sizes. Her elevated communication abilities help corporate, non-profit, social, and higher education clients go into the planning stages with confidence, and emerge from the process with an event that excels expectations. Most recently she has had the opportunity to produce events for: Boston University, The George Washington University, Virginia Tech University, The Building Innovation HUB, The Asperger/Autism Network and many more. Sandy thrives on the ability to coordinate, delivering thorough production schedules and runs of show, while managing the budget, technical partners, and affiliated vendors.
Space and Strategy: Using Your Whole Environment to Tell a Story
Tuesday, May 2, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Irvine Nature Center
You’ll learn how to tell stories in ways that ’stick’ with a deep dive into messaging and environmental design. Inspired by surprise and creativity, we’ll define the pieces needed to create a compelling story before moving into storyboarding and finally, story capture. You can expect to hear about messaging, storytelling, environmental design and communication.
Facilitator Danielle Nekimken is a creative director, event, graphic and exhibition designer crafting environments to tell stories. Focusing on engaging audiences though all of their senses, she builds experiences to appeal to multiple learning styles. Danielle partners with local museums such as the Maryland Center for History and Culture, the Baltimore Museum of Industry, Port Discovery, the Jewish Museum of Maryland and the Baltimore Museum of Art. She also teaches in the illustration department at Maryland Institute, College of Art.
