Leadership involves seeing the whole.  It requires that you become aware of the complex and evolving systems in which you live and work, and the ways in which these connections and cultures influence how you act in the world. This may include network analysis, systems-thinking, and landscape mapping. The Jewish practices of gratitude can attune yourself to the whole of which you are a part. Awaken to the systems of which you are a part.

Self-Awareness: Know your surroundings and how you are feeling, acting and perceiving at any one moment

Awareness of how I am acting, feeling and perceiving in any situation (through pausing and getting off the dance floor).

Being with Others: Being aware of how others are showing up

Has the ability to quickly gain awareness of the roles, interests, and values of various stakeholders, including my own, and relationships among them in any situation.

Action Toward Change: Perceive the web of relationships among others and yourself

Has the ability to envision alternative networks (set of relationships) within systems and notice potential leverage points for change.

Advanced Skills: Sense systemic emergence

Sense evolving areas of dynamism within systems.
